The whole time, the only thing I did wrong was throwing out my  fish when he got sick. Later I got a new one, but this incident  kept on bothering me and I turned to Kit.

I didn't mind telling Kit about stuff like this, cause strange  things happened in his life, too, and some of the stuff he did  was strange.
For instance,. he faked his signature whenever he used it, to  keep other people from forging important papers with his name... And as he lay in bed, in the middle of the night, he always heard  a noise like somebody was holding a seashell against his ear. And  sometimes he'd see me coming toward him in beautiful white robes,  and I'd put my cold hand on his forehead.
...
I felt all kind of things looking at the lights of  Cheyenne, but most important, I made up my mind to never again  tag around with a hell-bent type, no matter how in love with him  I was.

WELCOME TO PILFERED MAGAZINE

– By the people, for the people

As they describe it:

“PILFERED is a place where art buyers, photographers, artists and designers alike submit their favorite visuals pilfered from the web to share with one another. Founded on the spirit to inspire and aid in communicating ideas and concepts, PILFERED Magazine aims to assist in speaking the thousand words – visually."

Readers are asked to submit images that inspire them, not necessarily their own, and let the mag know where they come from. Publication, site, etc., with credits. If they didn’t know, like if it was from an ad where photog credits were not clear, the images was classified as “pilfered”.

AN AMAZINGLY COOL NEW ONLINE MAGAZINE. It offers an opportunity for everyone to submit images that they have either taken or simply found inspirational. I think it's a brilliant consept. To have this site filled with images that inspire. + submitting your own images can be a good way for a starting photographer to get the attention he or she needs. I mean what the hell, pictures are copied all the time on the internet. And, yeah of course it's sad that people don't get recognition for their photos, but honestly if you decide to publish your images on the net, it's really hard to control who uses them. I prefer to always mention the credits, but it still doesn't mean I'm doing the right thing copying someone else's work. So I guess it's a no-can-do situation.

Anyway, PILFERED (means "stolen") is created by Patrick Hoelck who is a well respected commercial photographer, artist, and now, film director. He and his team (Nate “Res” Harvey & Mia Van Valkenburg) spent hours in the past surfing the web to put together presentations for various commercial ad and editorial jobs. Patrick quickly noticed the hours it took to gather the images and felt it was time to have a massive image collective shared by the people for the people to make this process easier and a lot more fun. His initial description of PILFERED was “It will be the of wikipedia of images”.

This is interesting because, after all, on Patrick's own photography site, there was a BIG section on licensing and copyright of his own images. So why come up with a magazine called Pilfered, deliberately going against what he wants his work to be? If you're interested, you should watch the interview below to find out more.
